FACE-TO-FACE AND REMOTE LEARNING
Our course delivery across photography, screen media, and design includes interactive classes, workshops, and practical participation. Both face-to-face and online study offer the same level of guidance, engagement, and support.
Tier 1 & 2
You start by exploring the range of creative possibilities offered by your camera and digital technology. You learn to apply professional practices underpinning capture and workflow. You will explore composition and visual storytelling. You work with artificial and natural lighting on location, and you are introduced to the studio. Through a variety of projects, you’ll explore your personal expression and produce a folio of images.
Tier 3 & 4
The second year expands your work within the studio and further develops the ideas that drive your photography. You will extend your skills in workflow and studio lighting, as well as video production and retouching. You further explore professional practice in a range of photographic genres, such as portraiture, fashion, sports and still life. You experience working with an external client, publishing and exhibiting your work.
Tier 5 & 6
In the final year you are immersed in your chosen area of major - Commercial, Photojournalism or Art photography and guided through your ‘capstone’ folio project. You will be mentored closely through our mentor program and exposed to the latest photographic concepts, technologies and entrepreneurship. You are linked to the photographic industry in very tangible ways and learn the professional and business practices you need to establish your career.
PSC has fee support for students. Students may apply for a FEE-HELP loan at enrolment to cover the cost of tuition for the course. FEE-HELP is an Australian government loan scheme that assists eligible students with loans to pay all or part of their tuition fees.
Domestic Students who are Australian Citizens may apply for FEE-HELP.
FEE-HELP is not available for international students. International Student tuition fees are paid up-front on a per-semester basis.
When you accept your offer and complete your enrolment form, you also choose your tuition fee payment option.
