Potential options This course is part of a sequence beginning with the Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging leading to the Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging. Graduates of the Diploma of Photography and Photo Imaging may apply for advance standing into the Bachelor of Photography course or gain employment as a photography assistant or as a visual content creator or other photography roles in the creative industry. |
The Diploma in Photography and Photo Imaging focuses on your photographic development while refining your skills to either enter the photography industry or to prepare for further study.
You will focus on digital workflow, photographic technique, colour management and studio lighting as well as taking a more creative approach to your imagery. While working on a range of industry specific assignments you also have the opportunity to produce a creative body of work reflecting your own style and vision. A further focus is working in the studio environment building on your lighting skills in preparation for industry.
Innovation is a key area to your photographic development in the course and this is explored further. You also engage with how changing technologies influence the publishing of photographic imagery including video and moving image content.
PSC is a community of experienced practitioners and educators with national and international profiles in the areas of documentary, photojournalism, art, commercial photography, photobook publishing, curation and photographic theory.

InterviewOnce the completed form is received applicants will be contacted to attend an interview appointment either on campus or remotely via zoom. The interview is a short discussion and a way for us to get to know you and your interest, motivation and inspirations in photography and image making.
