Photography Studies College (PSC) is a multi-award winning tertiary photography college located in South Melbourne, a couple of tram stops away from Southern Cross station, neighbouring the South Melbourne Markets and many creative businesses. For over 50 years PSC has delivered specialised, high quality and innovative photography education, consistently producing graduates of the highest calibre and providing students with an environment in which to explore their creativity, see the world anew and give expression to what they see.

PSC is a dual sector provider offering both Degree and Advanced Diploma courses. Both have been developed with the specialised know how that comes from over 50 years as an innovative and experienced photographic educator.
The unique Bachelor of Photography & Digital Imaging degree course has a focus on creative practice, inquiry and reflection. It is informed by contemporary practice and theory, critical dialogue, career outcomes and engagement with the meaning of photography.
The Master of Arts Photography program is a postgraduate course in photography that is the first of its kind in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. It is designed to launch your career on the national and international stage.
The Advanced Diploma of Photography course ensures that the technical and conceptual skill set necessary for professional practice are built on comprehensively, from foundation to professional level.
PSC also offers online courses that are perfect for beginner and intermediate Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop users and will help you pursue your passion for photography while fitting in with your busy schedule.
With a total student population of around 300 – 130 of which are Higher Education students – PSC students benefit from an intimate creative learning environment and high quality industry specific facilities. PSC facilities include the professional photography studios, a state of the art digital imaging and printing centre, the information resources hub and continual exhibition spaces.
PSC offers an excellent student to teacher ratio. Our students learn with some of the best in the creative industries – qualified professionals who constantly bring their current practice, commitment to great educational outcomes and expertise to the classroom. These dedicated teachers are an important factor in the high quality and innovation of the work produced by students.
