Position
Stephanie Rose Wood is the Bachelor of Photography & Digital Imaging Second and Third Year Convenor and teaches in the Bachelor of Photography & Digital Imaging and the Master of Arts Photography.
Professional experience
Stephanie is a Melbourne-based documentary and portrait photographer focused on producing long-form documentary projects, shooting editorial for publications and working as an educator. Her photographic practice is research-driven and explores themes of community, ritual and the psychology of belief. Stephanie is currently working on a collaborative project, researching the link between storytelling and mental health.
Stephanie’s industry experience began in 2010 as a photographic assistant in London for advertising and editorial photographers. Whilst living in London, Stephanie worked extensively for theatre production companies and Non Government Organisations.
Stephanie regularly shoots for publications in Australia, including Frankie Magazine, Smith Journal, Archer Magazine and SPACES. She has exhibited in Australia and overseas. Her work is held in private collections in the UK, France and Spain.
