The Master of Arts Photography program introduces an innovative and cutting-edge curriculum targeted at practicing mid-career photographers, videographers, designers, curators and other visual artists. It supports expansive opportunities to pursue a significant volume of work in a creative collegiate community of practice. It also provides the entry-level qualification for those of you who are seeking to establish an academic teaching career at a higher education institution or university in Australia or internationally.
Through scholarship and research, a whole new approach to your current practice becomes possible. You will be enabled to develop a critical awareness of contemporary modes of presentation and distribution of visual content in addition to gaining expanded knowledge of contemporary trends and developments in the broader creative industry fields.

Entry Requirements
All domestic and international applicants must apply directly using the PSC Master of Arts Photography Application Form.
Program entrance requirements
- For entry into the Master of Arts Photography, applicants must meet specific academic and/or professional entrance requirements.
- Applicants should normally possess a Bachelor with Honours or Bachelor Degree qualification or equivalent.*
- Applicants without formal qualifications but with significant experiential learning/professional experience are also encouraged to apply.*
* a formal Recognition of Prior Learning application may be necessary to assess applicants academic, professional standing and ability to undertake studies at this level.

Once submitted, you will be contacted to arrange the next steps of your application, which may include:
- Examples of previous photographic work
- Certified copies of previous qualifications and transcripts
- If applying for Recognition of Prior Learning, you may also be asked to provide the name and contact details of two referees.
Application Process - Domestic

All applicants will be invited for an interview. The interview is a way for us to get to know you, for you to present your photographic work, and to talk about your career goals and motivations. Following the interview, you may also be asked to provide additional evidence or examples of professional practice.
Recognition of prior learning and credit transfer
PSC will ensure that all prospective students with relevant prior experience (RPL) or academic studies (credit transfer) are advised of the possibility of having this prior experience and/or studies taken into consideration.

Enrolment
Enrolment requires payment of a one off administration fee of $1000 AUD.

Fee Information
Australian Citizens may apply for FEE-HELP.
FEE-HELP is not available for international students. International Student tuition fees are paid up-front on a per-semester basis. International students are not required to pay more than 50% of the tuition fees before the course starts. However, they can pay for the full tuition fee if they wish to do so.
When you accept your offer and complete your enrolment form, you also choose your tuition fee payment option.

Government Assistance
FEE-HELP Tuition Fee Assistance
PSC is an approved FEE-HELP provider.
FEE-HELP is a government loan scheme that assists eligible fee paying students with loans to pay all or part of their tuition fees. It cannot be used for additional study costs such as equipment and materials, accommodation, living expenses or other costs. It is available to Australian Citizens or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa who are enrolled in a higher education course.

Scholarships Information
Scholarships are available for eligible participants. All graduates of undergraduate courses at Photography Studies College are eligible for the Graduate Scholarship Program. Ask us for more information.
