The Diploma of Screen Media provides pathways into further study or employment.
Upon completion of the course, you are eligible to gain direct entry into Semester 3 of the Bachelor of Screen Media degree. The course provides you with 60 credit points of the 180 credit points required for the Bachelor of Screen Media qualification.
Alternatively, it will qualify you for a wider range of entry-level assistant and junior roles in the screen media and creative industries, such as junior cinematographer, assistant director, assistant motion graphics designer, VFX assistance, and creative producer.

The Diploma of Screen Media is an exciting accredited, and fully FEE-HELP enabled higher education course that provides a shorter course tertiary-level photographic qualification.
Building on the Undergraduate Certificate you’ll undertake a deeper exploration of cinematographic techniques, including advanced lighting, dynamic camera movements and visual composition. You’ll examine the relationship between images, design and refine your ability to craft compelling imagery through technical and creative decisions. You’ll be encouraged to develop creative projects that challenge and push the boundaries of moving image expression.
In meeting the challenges of the new media reality, you’ll learn to embrace AI to enhance both your creative production and theoretical learning and, to use it both ethically and creatively, from navigating AI bias to representation in storytelling.
This innovative course will start to build your skills, adaptability and confidence in the exciting and fast evolving world of digital media creation.
PSC is a community of experienced practitioners and educators with national and international profiles in the areas of documentary, photojournalism, art, commercial photography, photobook publishing, curation and photographic theory.
All applicants should complete and submit the Diploma of Screen Media Application Form. Applicants for the course are required to demonstrate appropriate levels of English language proficiency consistent with studying in tertiary education.

FEE-HELP is a government loan scheme that assists eligible fee-paying students with loans to pay all or part of their tuition fees. It cannot be used for additional study costs such as equipment and materials, accommodation, living expenses or other costs. It is available to Australian Citizens or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa who are enrolled in a higher education course.
