At PSC we place a priority on the programs we have to assist the Year 12 cohort with transitioning to tertiary study, so when coming into our degree or undergraduate certificate programs you feel supported and included. We have a dedicated Student Engagement & Support Coordinator who works particularly closely with new students, our lecturers and support staff across our programs.
The support we provide in transition to tertiary study includes an emphasis on the importance of identifying learner needs early in your tertiary journey and offering the appropriate assistance including assistance with study skills, time management, literacy, organisational and technology support.
The PSC Pals is a well-established mentoring program where current students assist new students. They share their insights, arrange social catch ups, lunches and informal get togethers throughout the year.
