At PSC we place a priority on the programs that assist the Year 12 cohort with transitioning to tertiary study, so that commencing students feel supported and included. Our dedicated Student Engagement & Support Coordinator works particularly closely with new students as well as our lecturers and support staff.
The support we provide in transition to tertiary study includes an emphasis on the importance of identifying learner needs early in your tertiary journey and offering the appropriate assistance including assistance with study skills, time management, literacy, organisational skills and technology support.
The PSC Pals is a well-established mentoring program where current students assist new students. They share their insights and arrange social catch ups, lunches and informal get togethers throughout the year.
Choose your one-on-one interview date and time.
We have a range of interview times available during the special interview period in the September school holidays but interview dates and times can also be booked outside of this period.
Your interview is informal and one on one. We want to get to know you and hear about your creative folio work (8 – 10 images) and your interests in photography or digital media or video or film - whatever medium you have used to explore and create your folio work.
We are also interested in what motivates you and what you’re passionate about. The interview is a great chance for you to ask questions too.
We know this can be a confusing time and we want you to remember that we are here to help you navigate your application process and offer period.
Whether you need more information about preferencing PSC, the VTAC application process or arranging your PSC interview or have any other questions, you’re in the right place. Just refer to the drop-down menu or email study@psc.edu.au.

Select your course preferences
Go to the course application section, choose which courses you want to study and submit your preferred order from 1 through to 8 - remember your first preferences (no 1) is the course you prefer the most, through to your least preferred course at number 8.
Throughout the application period you can change your preferences as much as you like before your 2024 results are released on 12 December. After that date there is another shorter change of preference period before your main formal offer round – this year the VTAC main round offers are released 10am 23 December. These dates are all clearly noted on the VTAC website.
Just remember that you only receive one offer in the VTAC offer round and that is from the highest course on your preference list, so make sure you have the course you really want to study as your highest preference.
You don’t need an ATAR for entry to the PSC Bachelor degree course or Undergraduate Certificate courses - you require completion of your VCE or equivalent and need to have an interview with PSC where you will present a folio of your creative work.
